Each object is based on a word that refers to both a physical and emotional state. The objects also explore our anxiety about machines that may eventually learn to 'feel'. Are our machines becoming more like us as they learn to respond to our actions, or are we becoming more like them as we 'dumb down' our actions to their limited abilities? The electronics include an accelerometer (tilt sensor), a BX-24 microcontroller, and a serial port. A Macromedia Director program (by the artist) with a Director Serial Xtra (by Geoff Smith / PhysicalBits) runs on the computer.
