Alvaro Cassinelli (Uruguay)

Alvaro Cassinelli was born in Uruguay. He obtained an Engineering degree on Telecommunications and a Phd in physics while living in France. He is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo, Ishikawa-Namiki-Komuro Laboratory. His current research interests lie in the area of artificial vision and human-computer interfaces for the Media Arts using advanced optoelectronic technology.

Max Kazemzadeh (USA)

Max Kazemzadeh is the founder of "Texelectronica," and Professor of Electronic Media Arts at The University of North Texas School of Visual Arts. His interactive installations have been exhibited at the Boston CyberArts Festival, the Dashanzi International Art Festival, the IDMAa Symposium/Exhibition "< CODE >" at Miami University in Ohio, the Gerald Peters Gallery in New York, the Dallas Center for Contemporary Art, Three Walls at the Blue Star Art Center in San Antonio, the Arlington Museum of Art, the Robotic and Emergent Systems (RES) Art Exhibition at the Indiana University Bloomington Gallery, at Fotofest in Houston, TX.

Rafael Lozano-Hemmer (Canada)
Exhibited Artwork: Surface Tension and Glories of Accounting Subsculpture 5
Rafael Lozano-Hemmer was born in Mexico City. He received a B.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. His large installations in public space have been commissioned for events such as the Millennium Celebrations in Mexico City (1999) and the Expansion of the European Union in Dublin (2004). His work in kinetic sculpture, responsive environments, video installation and photography has been shown in many cities, including Biennials in Venice, Sydney, Istanbul, Havana, Liverpool and Shanghai. His work is in private and public contemporary art collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Jumex collection in Mexico and the Daros Foundation in Zurich. He has received several prizes including a Golden Nica in Linz, two BAFTA British Academy Awards in London, a Wired Rave Award in San Francisco, a Trophee des Lumieres in Lyon and an International Bauhaus Award in Dessau.

Mok Jin-Yo (South Korea)

Mok Jin-Yo is a multimedia artist living and working in Seoul. He received his BFA and MFA from Hong-Ik University in Seoul, Korea and continued his studies at New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program. His artwork has been featured and invited from a lot of online/offline venues over the world: Ars Electronica Festival in Austria; Artport at Whitney Museum of America in New York; WIRED NextFest, Chicago; PixelAche at Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki; Chelsea Art Museum in New York; FILE Media Arts Festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil; the Media City Seoul; Korea web-art festival; the Seoul Museum of Art Netart Gallery etc. He recently received an Individual Artist Grant from New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and an Artist Residency from the Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center in New York.

Daniel Shiffman (USA)

Daniel Shiffman works as a researcher, teacher, and artist at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. His digital creations have been exhibited at the Jepson Center for the Arts, the New Museum of Contemporary Art, the Savannah College of Art & Design, the Art Directors Club of New York, Galapagos Art Space, the Hillwood Art Museum, the IMCExpo, and Tisch School of the Arts. Originally from Baltimore, Daniel received a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from Yale University and a Master Degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program.

Camille Utterback (USA)
Exhibited Artwork: Balance and Shaken
Camille Utterback's extensive exhibit history includes more than fifty shows on four continents. Awards include a Transmediale International Media Arts Festival Award (2005), a Rockefeller Foundation New Media Fellowship (2002), and a US Patent (2004). Collectors of her work include the Whitney Museum, Hewlett Packard, and the La Caixa Foundation. Utterback holds a BA in Art from Williams College, and a Master degree from The Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University. She lives and works in San Francisco.

Philip Worthington (U.K.)
Exhibited Artwork: Shadow Monsters
Philip Worthington was born in London and completed his Masters in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art. His work now is focused on large scale and tactile interactive experiences that engross and envelope the visitors. He also has consulted for companies such as SCEE (PSP, EyeToy), teaches on the Graphic/Media Design BA at LCC and has spent time with IBM's Collaborative User Experience research group in Boston. His work has been selected for exhibition most notably at the V&A and Design Museum in London, as well as overseas design festivals, and features in industry publications, including Icon, Creative Review and Design Week.
